Mitzi and her sisters were deemed useless by the human who was responsible for them simply because they were aging and not laying as many eggs. Seen merely as a machine whose sole purpose was to provide eggs, Mitzi’s inquisitive and easygoing nature was overlooked until Autumn Farm Sanctuary gave she and her sisters a home. During her time at the sanctuary she explored, sun bathed in her favorite window, and made nests with her sisters in their chosen chicken condo. She and her sisters all succumbed to an incurable chicken illness; however, while she lived at the sanctuary, her time was filled with loving humans who knew her as an individual.
