Miranda started life with a young human raising her as a 4-H project to be paraded in front of gawkers and then sold for slaughter. Rather than the hay sheep need to survive, Miranda was fed only dog food. Escaping her enclosure, likely searching for the nutrients her body desperately needed, Miranda found her way into the house where she peed. The young human responsible had lost interest in caring for Miranda, and the family decided to send her to slaughter. A neighbor contacted Precious Life, who brought Miranda to safety. Miranda has blossomed into quite a gregarious sheep, rather demanding of affection and treats.

This special place is Precious Life Animal Sanctuary established in 1999 to provide a safe home for animals who have suffered from cruelty and neglect.
